If you would like to become a member of Kids Camps Inc or renew your membership, you may apply by printing and posting us the membership renewal form found below.

You are welcome to apply for these camps if your child:

  • has an intellectual disability AND
  • is living at home (not in a group home) AND
  • is of school age (6-18years) AND
  • is able to walk unassisted AND
  • is a current financial member of Kids’ Camps Inc.

Medication
  • All Medication must be clearly marked (bottles labelled clearly with name and dosage).
  • Medication must be provided in a dosette box or blister pack, prepared and labelled for the supervisor to administer.
  • Please ensure that sufficient quantities are available for the full period of the camp plus extra in case of emergency.
  • Pack your child's medication separately and hand it directly to the Camp Supervisor upon arrival.
  • Parents must countersign the Medication form with the Supervisor to acknowledge that the information is correct.
  • It is the responsibility of the parent to collect any left over medication from the Camp Supervisor upon return.

Valuables

It is not advisable for any camper to take valuables on camp, also pocket money will not be needed on camp. We feel the absence of money and valuables will ensure a more relaxed time is had by all.

In general, your child should bring these items to camp...
  • Bedding as notified when program information is sent out prior to camp.
  • Sufficient clothes suited to weather
  • Sufficient underwear.
  • Hat, sunscreen or raincoat (if winter)
  • Footwear - sneakers, thongs & socks
  • Sufficient Pyjamas
  • Nappies and nappy bags for the whole camp, plus a plastic sheet for bed where needed
  • Toilet bag (Toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, face washer, shampoo, brush)
  • Bath towel(s)
  • Beach towel, bathers, goggles
  • Plastic Bag (named) for dirty laundry.
  • Torch (optional)
Camp Requirements
Please ensure your child's bag or case and all items enclosed are clearly labelled. A written clothing list is supplied prior to camp - please attach it to the inside of the bag/case. If your child loses any clothes or returns with someone else's clothes, please phone the office on 9420 7247. goes here.

If you or your child have any problems or complaints in regard to the service provided, please :

  • Contact someone who can advocate for you such as People with Disabilities(WA) Inc on (08) 9386 6477. Whilst on camp your child is always free to discuss problems with their leader or the Supervisor(s).
Confidentiality Policy

All information about children is confidential.

  • Information parents provide on the care needs of their child is put on co0"uter then provided to volunteer leaders to enable them to provide appropriate care for the child.
  • At the end of camp, volunteers return this confidential information which is promptly destroyed.
  • Access to the computer files is restricted to Staff and Committee. All medical forms are kept after camp in a locked file.
  • Short reports are compiled by volunteer carers at the end of camp on each camper and are maintained in a lockable file in the office. This information is available to parents upon request should they require further feedback in regards to the camp.
  • Under no circumstances are volunteers given children's addresses or contact details by Kids' Camps.
  • Please report any unwanted contact.
